More than 200 businesses and delegates attended the Vietnam Air Cargo Day Forum 2024

(Chinhphu.vn) – The Vietnam Air Cargo Day 2024 Forum, co-organized by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Vietnam Aviation Exhibition Joint Stock Company (VIAExpo), took place on November 7, 2024, attracting about 200-250 delegates from many countries in and outside the country.

This event also marks the close cooperation between the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and Vietnam Aviation Exhibition Company (VIAExpo), along with industry partners in Vietnam.

With the theme “Securing the Future of Air Cargo: Digitalization and Compliance”, Cargo Day Vietnam 2024 is where managers, experts in the air freight and logistics industry, as well as regulatory agencies, update on important changes in regulations, standards and technology in this field.

As the aviation industry plays an increasingly important role in connecting global supply chains, the need to optimize transportation processes through digitalization and ensure compliance with international standards is urgent.

The event provides a platform for professionals in the air transport sector to interact and be informed about the latest developments worldwide in regulations, standards, business processes and technology. It also highlights the impacts on cargo safety and security, the challenges facing the industry, innovations and best practices to optimize air transport operations.

Presenting urgent and contemporary issues of the aviation industry, especially cargo safety, digitalization, transportation of dangerous goods and improving human resource capacity, sharing experiences and finding effective solutions to improve service quality, ensuring absolute safety for goods, and keeping up with the development trend of digital technology in the aviation sector.

Discussions and panels at the forum focused on prominent issues such as: Regulatory changes related to cargo safety and security; challenges facing the logistics industry; technological innovation and best practices: Automation, artificial intelligence and blockchain solutions are expected to bring transparency and efficiency to the aviation logistics industry, helping to reduce costs and enhance competitiveness.

Not only limited to updating knowledge, the event also created favorable conditions for delegates to expand their network of relationships, meet potential partners at home and abroad. In particular, this event is a testament to international cooperation and professional development of the Vietnamese aviation industry, with the participation of leading units such as IATA, VIAExpo, Vietnam Logistics Association (VLA), and Vietnam Aviation Science and Technology Association.

Assessing the benefits and role of the workshop, Mr. Do Hong Cam, Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, said that this workshop is a meaningful forum for scientists, experts, businesses and state management agencies to share experiences, exchange information and seek solutions to common problems. Through this workshop, there will be practical contributions to building an increasingly modern, safe and sustainable Vietnamese aviation industry.
