
Vietnam International Aviation Expo 2022 was officially opened
On September 15th morning, Vietnam International Aviation Exhibition (VIAE 2022) opened in Hanoi with the theme “Sustainable development for a bright future”. Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan attended and spoke at the ceremony.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan said that the Vietnam International Aviation Expo is an event marking the strong recovery of Vietnam aviation after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The expo is a place to display, introduce and learn about technology services, training and aviation services, aircraft models of domestic and foreign enterprises.
“This is an opportunity for businesses to exchange and trade in order to develop and promote activities in the aviation sector. At the same time, to promote the image of the aviation industry, Vietnam’s aviation brands, the country and people of Vietnam to international friends”, Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan emphasized.
Deputy Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam Ho Minh Tan said that the event was a condition for Vietnamese airlines and aviation organizations to meet, exchange and exhibit products, and bring their image to the international community and global aviation.
According to Deputy Director Mr. Ho Minh Tan, in 2 years, the world experiencing the Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam’s aviation industry has been affected. After the pandemic, Vietnam’s aviation industry is also considered to have the fastest recovery rate in the world. Vietnam’s aviation has recovered and achieved much higher output than before 2019, but there are also many challenges to face.
“2022 is the 25th anniversary of Vietnam’s aviation industry achieving safety rating. 25 years without aviation accidents, causing damage to property and the lives of passengers. This is the effort of the whole industry that deserves to be recognized”, the deputy director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam stated.
Mr. Tan also expressed his hope that the Expo will bring good values and images of Vietnam’s safe and dynamic aviation industry to international friends. Thereby, helping businesses continue to rise strongly after the pandemic, contributing to modernizing Vietnam’s aviation industry on a par with the region and the world.

Taking place from 15 to 17 September, VIAE 2022 is a place to display advanced aviation equipment, technology, modern aircraft models from countries with leading aerospace development, as well as aviation training institute, manufacturers for the aviation industry … to update the advanced services, products and technologies in the industry, and connect businesses.
In particular, the expo exhibited many products, equipment, tools, multi-disciplinary services, from ground service equipment and services, aircraft equipment and interior, flight management equipment and systems, maintenance and repair, equipment and training services/aircraft simulation systems …
At the same time, within the framework of the event, there are also seminars and forums for aviation scientists, experts, speakers, and business leaders to connect business, share new opportunities with many topics such as the Recovery and development of Vietnam’s aviation in a new context; Vietnam aviation’s strategy to develop a new generation fleet to 2025; Development of Vietnam airport infrastructure in the new context; Digital transformation in Vietnam’s flight management industry…
The expo contributes to building Vietnam’s aviation industry converging all component enterprises and becoming an important link in the world’s supply chain.
Create a bridge for domestic and foreign businesses to exchange and discuss related topics, thereby promoting cooperation and development, bringing the aviation industry back to being more stable after difficulties caused by the epidemic.
According to a report of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, in the first 6 months of 2022, with 23.3 million passengers, an increase of more than 74.2% over the same period in 2021, equal to 60% of the same period in 2019 with more than 60 domestic routes connecting major cities nationwide being fully exploited.
The number of passengers through airports reached 40.7 million passengers, an increase of 56.8% over the same period in 2021. International visitors reached 1.8 million visitors, up 904.6% and domestic visitors reached 38.9 million visitors, increasing 52.6%.
Vietnam’s total domestic and international supply of seats reached more than 6.5 million seats, ranking second in Southeast Asia, only after Indonesia.
