VIETRAVEL AIRLINES BOSS IS NOW THE DEPUTY GENERAL DIRECTOR OF BAMBOO AIRWAYS

Mr. Dao Duc Vu was appointed as Deputy General Director and Head of Flight Operations of Bamboo Airways

Bamboo Airways Joint Stock Company (Bamboo Airways) has just announced the appointment of senior personnel in the Board of Directors.

Accordingly, Mr. Dao Duc Vu was appointed as deputy general director and director of the airline’s flight operations.

Mr. Vu has 35 years of experience in the aviation industry, having held many senior leadership positions at agencies and enterprises such as the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, Vietnam Airlines, Cambodia Angkor Air, Vietjet, and Vietravel Airlines.

Before moving to Bamboo Airways, Mr. Vu was the deputy general director in charge of flight operations of Vietravel Airlines since the airline started its establishment in mid-2020.

After appointing Mr. Vu, Bamboo Airways’ board of directors now has 7 people, including General Director Nguyen Manh Quan and 6 deputy general directors. Currently, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Trong is the Chairman of Bamboo Airways’ Board of Directors, Mr. Doan Huu Doan holds the position of Standing Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Le Ba Nguyen holds the position of Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the 2019-2024 term. In addition, the company also has a senior advisor, Mr. Duong Cong Minh, a veteran businessman with decades of experience in finance and real estate. He is the founder and senior leader of many well-known enterprises and corporations such as Him Lam Joint Stock Company, Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Sacombank).

In the aviation market, Bamboo Airways currently owns a fleet of nearly 30 aircraft, operating 60 domestic routes and 12 international routes, including routes to the UK, Germany and Australia.

The airline said it is planning to receive more aircraft from now until the end of the year. It is expected that by 2028, the airline will increase the number of aircraft fleet to 100 aircraft.
