Regarding the passenger terminal, Da Nang proposed to keep the T2 terminal for international operation; expand T1 terminal to the southeast, connect with T2 terminal by bridge. After 2030, the city proposes to build the domestic terminal T3 to the southeast.
With the adjusted planning, the total investment capital needs, project management costs, and site clearance of Da Nang airport increased to nearly 31,000 billion VND.
Da Nang airport is the third largest in the country, after Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat, with an area of 85 hectares, a capacity of 10 million passengers per year, of which the international T2 terminal is 4 million, and the domestic T1 terminal is 6 million.
